The term "re-places" refers to the action of putting something or somebody back into the original position that they previously occupied. Some antonyms for the term might include words like displace, remove, relocate, expel or dislodge. When we displace something or somebody, we move them from their previous position to a new one. We may also remove something entirely or relocate it to a different spot. Expelling something means forcing it to leave a place by means of authority, while dislodging involves removing something that is firmly fixed in place. Regardless of the antonym used, it has the opposite effect to "re-places", which is to move something back to its original location.
