Victoria Falls is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Southern Africa. It is located on the Zambezi River at the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe. This magnificent waterfall is also known by other synonyms like "Mosi-oa-Tunya," which translates to "the smoke that thunders". The waterfall is also referred to as "Shungu na Mutitima" in the Tonga language, which means "boiling water". The indigenous name for Victoria Falls is "Sisiya Hydropower Station," referring to the Zambezi River. However, it is mainly known as Victoria Falls after the British queen Victoria named it back in the colonial era. The falls are named after her royal title.
