When someone exposes wrongdoing or misconduct, we often use the phrase "blowing the whistle on." However, there are many other ways to express this act of revealing the truth. Some synonyms include "revealing," "exposing," "uncovering," "disclosing," "making public," "ratting out," "informing on," "tattling," "snitching," and "betraying." These terms have varying degrees of connotation, from more neutral to more negative. Regardless of the language we use, though, it is important to stand up for what is right and speak truth to power when necessary.
