Rebuffs are those snubs that we receive when someone refuses to accept us or agree with what we're saying. There are several synonyms for the word 're-buffs' such as rejection, denial, dismissal, repudiation, rebuke, refusal, snub, defiance, opposition and so on. Each of these synonyms has a slightly different connotation, but they all convey the idea of being turned down or refused.
